”I’m 34, and I’m pretty self confident, and still, walking down the street in a summer dress with hair under your arms will garner some nasty looks and some nasty comments. And, you know, I’ve gone through some phases of shaving and not shaving, and it’s not even like I’m a fan of—or a vocal supporter of—“Everyone Should Not Shave.” I don’t actually think that. I think everyone should choose to do it whatever fucking way they want. But I do find it really sad to think that the girls out there won’t think it’s a choice, that it’s imperative. And that now that you’re 13, you shave and you shut up and that’s the way you do it.
