"There were earlier scripts where Daryl spoke like his brother. He said a lot of racial things, negative things. And there were scripts where he took drugs—his brother’s drugs. I had conversations with the writers early on and explained that I didn’t want to say that stuff or have him take drugs. I wanted Daryl to be a real kid that grew up in a house full of racism and drugs, but wasn’t proud of it and didn’t want to be like that."

"Under and Over it" by Five Finger Deathpunch
I always wished that this song was a bigger hit from the album than Remember Everything or Coming Down.
It really is unfair that this song did not become as big of a hit as Remember Everything or Coming Down. This song is much more representative of the band’s usual sound, and I find it a tad ironic that some of these active rock stations that are supposedly “only for men” tend to think this song is too heavy for frequently airplay. I mean, as a woman, I definitely prefer the heavier side of Five Finger Death Punch.
Musically, how would I describe this song? Awesome! Okay, in all seriousness, I’d describe this song as crunchy groove metal. I think this is the style the band does quite well. While it’d be unfair to insist that Five Finger Death Punch should never record any ballads, I think my resentment tends to lie more with radio stations that tend to favour the band’s softer stuff over their heavy stuff. This song is a definite 10/10!
real love, da love
